OPAL Password Support Information in BIOS for AMD CPU Platform

Applicable Products: Notebook, Desktop, All-in-One PC

For products equipped with AMD CPU platforms, the OPAL password setting option will not be displayed when the RAID disk array function is enabled. To use the OPAL password, the RAID mode must be changed to AHCI mode.

Note: Changing the storage mode will erase all data on the disk.

  • AHCI mode: The BIOS menu will display the OPAL password setting function
  • RAID mode: The BIOS menu will not display the OPAL password setting function

Q&A
