[Windows 11/10] Change Power mode and plan

Please go to the corresponding instruction based on the current Windows operating system on your computer:

 

Windows 11 operating system

Choose the power mode that works for you and what you want to do on your Windows 11 computer. This lets you determine what’s important to you to get the best battery life, best performance, or a balance between the two.

  1. Type and search [Power, sleep and battery settings] in the Windows search bar, and then click [Open].
  2. On the Power mode field, click the scroll-down menu to choose the one you want. If you would like to decrease the battery power consumption, you can choose Best power efficiency.

 

Choose and customize a power plan

The power plan is a collection of hardware settings and system settings that manages how your computer uses power. You can also create custom plans according to specific performance needs.

  1. Type and search [Choose a power plan] in the Windows search bar, and then click [Open].
  2. Select a suitable power plan for you.
  3. If you would like to customize the selected plan, please click [Change plan settings] on the selected plan.
  4. Click [Change advanced power settings].
  5. You can customize the following component or function separately, and after changing the settings, please select [Apply]and then select [OK].

 

 

Windows 10 operating system

Choose the power mode that works for you and what you want to do on your Windows 10 computer. This lets you determine what’s important to you to get the best battery life, best performance, or a balance between the two.

Click [Battery icon] on the taskbar, and then drag the slider to the left or right to change the different power mode. If you would like to decrease the battery power consumption, you can drag the slider to Best battery life.

  1. Right-click [Battery icon] on the taskbar, and then select [Power Options].
  2. Select a suitable power plan for you.
  3. If you would like to customize the selected plan, please click [Change plan settings] on the selected plan.
  4. Click [Change advanced power settings].
  5. You can customize the following component or function separately, and after changing the settings, please select [Apply]and then select [OK].
