Green awareness and power consumption are key topics as more data centers require better computing performance, more storage space and quicker connections. ASUS strives to offer customers not only the top computing-performance benchmark results but also the best benchmarks for low power consumption – enabling efficient operation and optimal TCO.
SPEC.org’s SPECpower_ssj2008 is the first industry-standard SPEC benchmark that evaluates the power and performance characteristics of volume-server-class computers. On this benchmark, ASUS has achieved multiple top spots for the most power-efficient Windows and Linux servers, on both Intel and AMD platforms – ensuring a comprehensive choice of solutions.

Thermal Radar 2.0 provides real-time server temperature monitoring and intelligent fan-curve adjustments for lower fan power-consumption. When the system gets hot all the fans activate to cool the temperate, potentially consuming more power than is necessary. With Thermal Radar 2.0 enabled, heat can be detected and fans activated by affected zone, targeting cooling and minimizing power use.
