What is a server?

A server is like a powerful computer that stores and manages data or applications. Its job is to send information or provide services to other computers (clients) when they ask for it. It's like a helper that's always ready to give you what you need, whether it's a website, a video, an email or a game, as long as you are connected to it through the internet or another type of network.

Imagine you go to a restaurant and order a meal. In this situation, the kitchen is like a server, and you are like a client using a computer. Just like you ask a waiter for food, your computer asks the server for information or services. The kitchen (server) prepares the food (data or services) and the waiter (network) brings it to your table (your computer).
